Hello, Hawaiian Gardens! My name is Jesse Alvarado, and I am both humbled and honored to call this city my home for over 40 years.
My journey in Hawaiian Gardens began as a young boy when my family and I moved here from Michoacan, Mexico, bringing with us dreams and aspirations to build a brighter future.
Growing up in a family of 14 siblings, I learned early the importance of hard work, sacrifice, and community support—all values that have guided me throughout my life and my career.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats in this community. I’ve been a teacher, an automotive expert, a licensed financial advisor, and a council member.
But in every role, my purpose has always been the same: to uplift and empower those around me. I believe that a strong community is one where every voice is heard, every family is supported, and every individual is given a fair chance to succeed.
Hawaiian Gardens is that community for me, and it’s a place I am committed to serving wholeheartedly.
As someone who understands the challenges and dreams of our residents, I see Hawaiian Gardens filled with potential.
My goal is to bring more resources and opportunities to our city—from jobs and business growth to support programs for seniors and youth.
Together, we can create a Hawaiian Gardens that every resident feels proud to call home. My heart is here with each of you, my neighbors, my friends, and my family.
